Fresh fruit is one of my favorite parts of summer, and this non alcoholic white sangria is a simple way to turn it into something special. Made with citrus, berries, mint, juice, and sparkling water, it’s light, refreshing, and beautiful in a clear pitcher. Serve it for brunch, a backyard dinner, or any warm-weather gathering when you want an easy drink that feels a little extra special.

Traditional sangria originated in Spain and is typically made with wine, fresh fruit, and sometimes a splash of sparkling water or brandy. It became popular in the United States after being introduced to many Americans at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York. Since then, countless variations have appeared in cookbooks and online. This non alcoholic white sangria is my simple, family-friendly version.

How to Make

- Wash and dry all the fruit.
- Thinly slice the lemon, orange, and strawberries.
- Add the lemon slices, orange slices, strawberries, grapes, blueberries, and mint to a large pitcher.
- Pour the grape juice, orange juice, and sparkling water over the fruit.
- Stir well.
- Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
- Serve in clear glasses with fresh mint and fruit garnish.
Tips for the Best Non Alcoholic White Sangria

- Ice is optional. Serving this sangria over ice keeps it extra cold, but as the ice melts, it can dilute the flavor.
- Make juice ice cubes. For the best flavor, freeze leftover white grape juice or sparkling water in ice cube trays ahead of time. As the cubes melt, they keep the drink chilled without watering it down.
- Try different juices. This recipe is very flexible. Apple juice, refrigerated peach juice, white cranberry-peach juice, white cranberry juice, and light peach juice all work well. If you use peach juice, add a few fresh peach slices to the pitcher.
- Use a clear pitcher. Any large pitcher will work, but a glass pitcher shows off the colorful fruit and makes this drink look especially pretty on the table.
- Let it chill before serving. Refrigerating the sangria for about an hour gives the fruit and mint time to flavor the juice and sparkling water.
White sangria garnish idea

This non alcoholic white sangria is especially pretty when served with simple fruit skewers. To make four garnishes, cut extra chunks of lemon, orange, and strawberries, and gather four large blueberries and four green grapes. Thread one piece of each fruit onto small wooden skewers, and refrigerate until ready to serve. They add a colorful finishing touch and make this refreshing drink feel a little extra special.
